- Ambitious and open to challenges
- Looking forward to hand over knowledge to a company of a different culture
How to apply
After you have read the conditions of Intern Abroad, especially details about visa and budget concerns and tips on adapting your resume, please register at our site and post your resume. We will send the best applications to host companies in the United States, and keep you updated. Please note that companies rarely make decisions until one or two months prior to the starting date of the internship.
You can also browse our own database with internship offers and let us know if you are interested on one in particular.
If a company selects your resume, interview process
We will notify you on the company's availability to set up a date and time for the interview, before the interview we will send you all necessary information about the company.
Then, please research the company as much as possible to prepare yourself for the interview, work on your English skills & accent and be enthusiastic. Please be aware that this will be your only chance to speak with the recruiter, for the rest we will remain your only contact.
Be aware that you will not get an immediate answer over the phone, instead the company will tell Intern Abroad their final decision.
Here are some tips to optimize your chances for the interview:
- Check the company's website and learn about their activities
- Be very motivated!
- Tell them why you are the best for the position
- Never say you come to improve your English
- Explain why your skills could be an added value for them
- Be in the position of a "winner"
- Be explicit about your goals and objectives
- Listen to them and respond with a clear answer
- Have some questions ready for the interviewer (not related to visa or housing or so, we are here for that)
School Internship Agreement (convention de stage)
Please e-mail or fax us your school internship agreement and we will fax it back to your school with the company section dated and signed.
Visa
A visa is required to do an internship abroad. Detailed information about obtaining a visa can be found in the 'More Information' section.
Payment of our services
Once you have accepted the internship offer, we will send you an invoice for the payment of our services. After your payment has been received, we can start the visa procedure.
- If the company cancels, we will refund your payment amount with a $ 200 deduction for administrative costs
- If you cancel the internship during the visa procedure, you will not be refunded under any circumstances
